Our butchery department has grown from strength to strength over the years, prompting the farmshop to be built in 2001 due to high demand for our traditionally home-reared meats straight from the farm. Taking centre stage in our food hall, our butchers counter is at the heart of the business. All our meat comes straight from our farm in the Holmedale Valley near Richmond, North Yorkshire.
Skilfully prepared by our master butchers, our home reared meats straight from the farm take centre stage to buy in our unique counter in the heart of our granary food hall.
All our meat is fresh, and suitable for freezing. Why not stock the freezer ready.
Please note you will not be charged at the checkout and we will contact you on dispatch of delivery or collection as the exact weight will slightly differ as all the products are prepared fresh.
BeefGrass Fed Mainsgill Beef
All our grass fed beef is 100% grass-fed for their entire lives and slowly grown until they naturally reach maturity. We are a‘real’ farmshop offering our home-reared beef from the farm, with Zero Food Miles and full traceability. All of our grass-fed beef is hung on the bone for at least four weeks, to develop a wonderfully rounded depth of flavour.
LambHome Reared Lamb
All our lamb is grass-fed for their entire lives and slowly grown until they naturally reach maturity. Our lambs graze on the lush pastures of the Holmedale Valley here at Mainsgill. We are a‘real’ farmshop offering our home-reared lamb from the farm, with Zero Food Miles and full traceability.
PorkHome Reared Pork
Mainsgill promises rich succulent pork. Our pork is exclusively sourced from our home-reared Mainsgill pork. Maintaining our vision of over 20 years ago, we traditionally rear all our pork, as we did when Mainsgill Farm first begun, feeding on a unique cereal diet.
